French Reverse Cowhide — Brown

The Escape is built for the off-day and the off-road in equal measure. French reverse cowhide reversed nap-out gives the upper a muted, tactile surface that sheds shine and accumulates character instead. An unstructured toe, seven flat eyelets, and a Dr. Sole Raw Cord outsole underneath — this is a boot that earns its look by being worn, not displayed.

Upper Material

French Reverse Cowhide — Brown, Roughout

The upper is cut from full-grain French cowhide that has been lasted with the flesh side facing out — what the trade calls roughout or reverse leather. France has long maintained a tannery tradition oriented toward vegetable and semi-vegetable processing, and the resulting hide has a denser, more tightly napped surface than most domestic roughouts. The brown colorway penetrates the full thickness of the hide, so as the nap wears down at high-contact points — the toe box, the heel, the lacing throat — the color deepens rather than fades. There is no finish to crack, no coating to peel. The leather changes; it does not degrade.

Outsole

Dr. Sole #1122 Raw Cord — Full Sole, Black

The #1122 full sole runs heel to toe as a single unit, with the characteristic cord tread pattern providing directional grip without the aggressive lugging of a hiking outsole. The black colorway grounds the warm brown upper, creating a deliberate contrast at the welt line that defines the boot's silhouette from the side. The outsole is resolable when worn through — the boot is not disposable.

Seven Flat Eyelets — Dark Oxidized Finish

Seven eyelets run a clean, uninterrupted lacing column from throat to shaft. No speed hooks, no mixed hardware — a single eyelet type, a single tonal finish, dark enough to read against the brown roughout without competing with it. The eyelet count is deliberate: enough rows to hold the shaft firmly against the ankle, few enough to lace quickly. Functional hardware that does not announce itself.

✅ 1. Regular Orders — Return & Refund Policy

We gladly accept returns for our regular lineup boots and shoes purchased from www.homkboots.com within 14 days of delivery.

Eligibility for Returns

Returned items must be:

  • Unworn and in original, mint condition
  • Tried indoors only (carpet recommended)
  • Including all accessories, packaging, and inserts

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Return Shipping Cost

  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
  • An $80 outbound shipping fee (the cost we paid to ship your order) will be deducted from the refund

✅ 2. Pre-Orders & MTO (Made To Order) — Special Order Terms

Products labeled as Pre-Order or Made To Order (MTO) are considered Special Orders.

Production Time

Production typically requires 4–12 weeks, depending on capacity and leather availability.

Non-Cancellable & Non-Returnable

  • Once a Special Order is submitted, it cannot be canceled, altered, or modified
  • Special Order items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, as they are crafted specifically for you

We strongly encourage customers to place MTO or Pre-Order orders only if you already know your correct HOMK size.

✅ 3. Sample & Discounted Items — No Returns or Refunds

All sample products and special-priced / discounted items are final sale.

They are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.

Please confirm carefully before purchasing.

✅4. Wrong Size for MTO / Pre-Order — What to Do?

If your Special Order does not fit, we can arrange an exchange, but please note:

  • International shipping & customs fees may exceed the value of the boots 
  • The most cost-effective solution for Special Orders is usually:Sell your pair on eBay and re-order the correct size

This helps you recover most of your cost.

✅ 5. Order Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a regular order (non-MTO, non-Pre-Order), a 10% cancellation fee will be deducted.

This covers the non-refundable payment processing fees charged by:

  • Credit card processors
  • Shopify
