The Chelsea is the most edited silhouette in the HOMK lineup — a single panel of U.S. tea-core cowhide on each side, elastic gussets at the ankle, and a pull tab at the heel. What sits beneath it is anything but minimal: a 3/4 Goodyear welt, a cork-filled footbed, a vegetable-tanned leather midsole, and a Dr. Sole rubber outsole built to last well past the upper's break-in. Last Q1. Unstructured toe. Genuine leather heel counter.

Upper & Lining
U.S. Tea-Core Cowhide — Black, 2.0–2.2mm
The upper is cut from U.S. full-grain cowhide tanned using the tea-core process — a method that saturates the hide with tannins from the interior outward before surface dyeing. At 2.0–2.2mm, this is a hide selected for structural weight: thick enough to hold the Chelsea's panel shape without internal stiffening, light enough to break in within the first weeks of wear. The black penetrates the full cross-section, so flex creases at the vamp develop depth rather than exposing a raw edge. There is no topcoat to crack. The surface develops its own finish over time.
Natural-Color Water-Dyed Cowhide Lining — Imported
The full lining is cut from imported water-dyed cowhide in natural tone — a breathable, supple leather that draws moisture away from the foot and conforms to its shape over successive wears. Water dyeing leaves the hide more open-pored than solvent or pigment methods, which means the lining stays soft and responsive rather than stiffening at the heel and ball as synthetic linings tend to do.
Construction
3/4 Goodyear Welt — Flat Leather Welt, Cork Footbed, Fully Resolable
The construction stack, from the foot down:
- Genuine leather insole — the foundation the upper is lasted to; shapes to the foot over time.
- Cork fill — packed between the insole and midsole, the cork compresses to the foot's profile within the first weeks of wear, creating a custom footbed that improves with each use.
- Flat leather welt — a flush-profile welt stitched to the upper and insole, giving the Chelsea its clean, unbroken side profile without the raised ridge of a storm welt.
- Vegetable-tanned leather midsole — full-length, single-piece, tanned for structural rigidity and long-term support.
- Dr. Sole rubber outsole — the only component designed to wear out. When it does, the boot is disassembled at the welt and rebuilt from the midsole up.

This boot follows standard U.S. sizing. Simply choose your usual boot or leather shoe size.
Coming from sneakers? We recommend sizing down half to one full size — for example, a US 9 in Nike translates to approximately US 8 or 8.5 in this model.
Coming from Red Wing or similar work boots? Select your usual size — the Q1 last fits consistently with standard work boot sizing.

✅ 1. Regular Orders — Return & Refund Policy
We gladly accept returns for our regular lineup boots and shoes purchased from www.homkboots.com within 14 days of delivery.
Eligibility for Returns
Returned items must be:
- Unworn and in original, mint condition
- Tried indoors only (carpet recommended)
- Including all accessories, packaging, and inserts
Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Return Shipping Cost
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
- An $80 outbound shipping fee (the cost we paid to ship your order) will be deducted from the refund

✅ 2. Pre-Orders & MTO (Made To Order) — Special Order Terms
Products labeled as Pre-Order or Made To Order (MTO) are considered Special Orders.
Production Time
Production typically requires 4–12 weeks, depending on capacity and leather availability.
Non-Cancellable & Non-Returnable
- Once a Special Order is submitted, it cannot be canceled, altered, or modified
- Special Order items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, as they are crafted specifically for you
We strongly encourage customers to place MTO or Pre-Order orders only if you already know your correct HOMK size.
✅ 3. Sample & Discounted Items — No Returns or Refunds
All sample products and special-priced / discounted items are final sale.
They are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds.

✅4. Wrong Size for MTO / Pre-Order — What to Do?
If your Special Order does not fit, we can arrange an exchange, but please note:
- International shipping & customs fees may exceed the value of the boots
- The most cost-effective solution for Special Orders is usually:Sell your pair on eBay and re-order the correct size
This helps you recover most of your cost.
✅ 5. Order Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a regular order (non-MTO, non-Pre-Order), a 10% cancellation fee will be deducted.
This covers the non-refundable payment processing fees charged by:
- PayPal
- Credit card processors
- Shopify

Size Guide
All our footwear is based on US standard sizing.
- If you usually wear US sizes, simply select your regular size.
- For those more familiar with EU or UK sizing, please refer to our conversion chart.
- If you are uncertain about your size, we recommend going up by half a size (+0.5 US). You can fine-tune the fit using sock thickness, insoles, or lace adjustment.
